Jason Minard, Esq., was born and raised in the Hudson Valley. Mr. Minard has played an integral part in advancing New York's commercial Adult-Use Cannabis and CBD industries as an attorney, entrepreneur, and executive. Mr. Minard currently serves as General Counsel for Hepworth Ag, Inc. Jason has dedicated his practice to serving his clients in the emerging hemp and cannabis industries representing start-ups, companies in all phases of development, entrepreneurs, and the Seller of one of New York’s largest indoor cultivation facilities. Since the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act was signed into law in New York State on March 31, 2021, he has presented on the topic for CANY f/k/a New York Cannabis Growers and Processors Association, New York Cannabis Insider, and the National Association of Cannabis. Jason was instrumental in stopping New York's attempt to ban the sale of hemp flower in 2021.
He was admitted to practice in New York State and Federal Courts in 2006. He founded Minard Law, PLLC in 2008. He has extensive experience in commercial litigation and corporate law with considerable experience in real estate law and agricultural law. He holds degrees from Cornell University, the University of Miami School of Law, and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton Executive Presence and Influence: Persuasive Leadership Development program.
